DrivenByDrams Arran & Glasgow Tour - Day 4b (Loch Lomond Distillery)

 After @GlasgowDC Day 4 continued at @LochLomondMalts

The gang turned up at heaven!

Where we were greeted by Alan and Gary!

Eggshell blue(?) Hi-Vis vests were handed out and we followed Gary on a tour of the distillery and cooperage!

Malt distillery on the left, grain distillery on the right.

Although there's no Visitor's Centre Loch Lomond do have a series of information boards as you walk around the site.

The yeast is added

We were able to try some 'Inchmurrin' Straight Neck Pot Still, High Collection Strength, New Make Spirit straight from the receiver

Cooling rings on the still

Damian lost in Willy Wonka's factory!

Loch Lomond - No Escape!

Then it was off to the Cooperage

Tour Guide Selfie!

And then into one of the rack warehouses

I need to keep an eye out for this cask when it's bottled!

Then Gary took us back to the tasting room

We tried the range of new make spirits

Then some of the Core Range

Scrupulous notes were taken!

And a few 'special' drams tried!

Michael Henry joined us to try some!

A huge thanks to Gary, Alan, Michael, Ashley and the team at Loch Lomond for an amazing experience!

Day 5 and we headed home but managed to stop off at David Stirk's shop in Thornhill
