Loch Lomond Chardonnay Wine Yeast from a Swan Neck Pot Still

@LochLomondMalts is one of my favourite distilleries and some of my favourite drams have come from the use of Chardonnay Wine Yeast in their fermentation

This one is a little different - it's been distilled in a Swan Neck Pot Still

As some of you may know I've given up buying whisky... well whisky under 46% ABV anyway! These 3 samples found their way into my Christmas Stocking and have been sat on the whisky shelf 'looking' at me for a few weeks...

Let's try not to be too disappointed...

Annandale Distillery visit and tasting

We must have passed @AnnandaleDstlry tens of times going up and down the M6 & A74 to Scotland but have never had the time to visit the distillery.

This time however @MrsMaltMusings and myself had a lazy few days booked in Glasgow and had time to visit on the way up!

As you probably saw a few drams were tried at Southport Whisky Winter Festival, one I wasn't able to try was @HenstoneDistill's new Red Wine Cask release
