Sauternes - too sweet?
There are loads of different wine cask now used to mature whisky, red ones seem to be more prominent as they add a darker colour.
Here I try Sauternes, a very sweet white desert wine, matured whiskies.

GlenAllachie Single Cask for IWS
There are lots of little whisky shops around the country, whose business has been
affected by recent events, some have mail order businesses to keep them going so
please support them as much as you can. One thing that some of the distilleries
are doing is to bottle single casks exclusively for a shop - this is one such
example.

Virtual tasting: A.D. Rattray with Inverurie Whisky Shop
Due to the Corona virus a lot of companies have moved their tastings online - using Zoom or similar video conferencing systems. This has actually opened their market as they can attract customers from all over the world.
One such company is the Inverurie Whisky Shop, a small shop in the town of Inverurie - great if you live near Aberdeen, but not too much use to those of us living in England or elsewhere.
