Recently they've released a core range - I tried it at Kendal was was luck enough to be given a sample to review.

A Claxton's flight

I'm sure everyone knows @ClaxtonsSpirits an indie bottler who's bottles really mess up the spacing on your whisky shelves!

Their unusual square bottles really standout but they take up a lot of shelf space!

Their first releases are a set of three exclusive Claxton's drams, I had to buy the bottle of Cameronbridge!

Whisky from...? England

Next in my little series on Whisky from...? is England. I've tried a few English whiskies in my time, most recently the new releases from Lakes, Bimber and Spirit of Yorkshire, this time I'm looking at the longest established distillery in England - The English Whisky Company at St. George's Distillery in Norfolk.

Some of these drams were part of a recent @TweetTastings that I wasn't selected for, but due to the generous sample sizes and my equally generous mate @jwbassman_ I'm able to try them! The others came from a drample swap with @BlackCountryWS

Review of my whisky year - 2018

First of all thank you to all the people who have read my blog (c29,000 up from 16,500 last year) and followed me on Twitter (c1,680 up from 900 last year).

I was lucky to be picked for a @TweetTasting with drams supplied by Claxton's an indie bottler from North Yorkshire. Previously I'd only tried one dram from them, which was pretty good, and was interested to see what else they put in their usually square bottles!
