Waxhouse Whisky are a tiny, not for profit, indie bottler formed by members of the St. Albans Whisky Club in 2018.

I was invited to the launch of their 6th release where we also tried release 5.

@Cotswoldistill is one of the largest distilleries in England, they've been going since 2014 and keep adding to their 'core' range with full maturation high ABV releases.

Side by side : Independent Linkwood

On today's Side by side we're looking at two independently bottled Linkwoods. It's not a whisky you see very much, I can only think of one distillery bottling I've tried, all the rest I've tried or seen have been indies.

The difficult second album....

It's always hard for a band to follow up a successful debut album and in the case of independent bottlers a successful debut release.

The Waxhouse Whisky Company released an 8yo peated Ruadh Maor (Glenturret) in the Autumn of 2019 (read my review here) and have followed it up with a 13yo Glenrothes.
