The second distillery tour and tasting on our trip was @Bowmore
The tour started with a look at the malting floors

Where we each had a go at turning the malting barley!

Then it was up into the Kilns
The barley here was about 6 inches deep
And it got everywhere!
Each of the washbacks was named after a previous owner of the distillery (Photos: Mark).
And into the Still room

We were then taken down to the sea shore...
To the famous No. 1 Vaults warehouse

We then got to select our favourite and fill a 100ml bottle to take home.
John tried to lock us in the warehouse but unfortunately Kim had the key, let us out and took us up to the bar for a final dram
