Mini-reviews: Mekong River Commission?

This was a blind sample from @Maltman_Mike which turned out to be Port Charlotte's MRC:01

In the glass: a reddy gold, 59.2%, thing gravity defying swirls.

Nose: Maritime smoke with a hint of strawberries. There's a little meaty note I associate with new make spirit.

Palate: Lovely fruity notes with a blanket of smoke - definite red wine influence - strawberries, plums, black cherries. Yummy!

Finish: Long and smokey, with a dark chocolate and cherry note.

Overall: A fantastic dram, in my top 10 for 2018 - beautiful balance of peat and fruit!
