This was a blind sample from
@Maltman_Mike which turned out to be Kilchoman's Machir Bay Cask Strength
In the glass: Very pale gold, 59.8%, swirls leave thin slow legs.
Nose: Peanuts... yuck... I don't know what it is but the peat smoke that comes off a Kilchoman whisky smells just like a bag of them sweet peanuts I used to eat as a child, and it's just not nice. There is a hint of salt in there too.
Palate: Quite a fruity arrival and a little spice kick then the
peanuts (sorry peat smoke) hit's you. The high ABV makes itself felt but this is just not a dram for me - other people love it so go and give it a try!
