Series 5 Part 3
We finally got around to completing Series 5, the team have swapped more drams and tonight we need to try and work out what they are, but more importantly tell us what we think of them without knowing where they are from. #NoPreconceivedIdeas! If you haven't followed us before you can catch up with all the previous series here.
This time we revised the lineup to take into account a little peat notes.... the lineup was : D15 from @GentlemanGrimm, E15 from @WhiskyWings, B15 from @JWBassman_, C15 from @SpiritAndWood, and finally A15 from me.
First up was D15 from Grimm
Mike was straight in with a guess....
Some of us were liking this one!
And some weren't! But that's the beauty of #BlindTasting!
A wild guess from John.... and he got the distillery!
But would we buy a bottle?
After the votes - Grimm told us what it was...
I was getting smoke... but no one else was....
I tried a different tack...
The ABV was hitting the spot...
but Mike was about to surprise us...
Then Alistair introduced us to a new word...
I reached for my dictionary!
Compass Box but which one?
I used Alistair's new word!
It looked like a bubble to me!
Water was required...
The guesses continued...
Alistair was on the right lines...
Then John revealed the bottle.
Up next was Alistair's C15...
A peated dram - our first for a while!
Third guess and Mike got it!
I wasn't sure about this one....
But which bottling?
Not happy at all...
Alistair revealed the dram...

We were getting somewhere at last!
Alistair was on the right lines...
Then John revealed the bottle.
Up next was Alistair's C15...

Two distillery guesses but we weren't there yet!
Lucky no peanuts!
Third guess and Mike got it!
I wasn't sure about this one....
But which bottling?
Not happy at all...
Alistair revealed the dram...
Final dram of the night and of the Series was my A15
Alistair confirmed our new word!
John was straight in with a guess...
Then Mike had a guess...
John had another couple of guesses...
Zero for Four so far but at least them were on the right island!
Then the ABV guesses started...
Grimm was still awake but that didn't seem to be helping!
Alistair was back to food
and the rest of us followed!
John was finally there...
And straight in with the bottling!
In the end I revealed the bottle
The end of our 5th Series and a great night!
