One of my favourite @LochLomondMalts distillations is using Chardonnay Wine Yeast in a straight necked pot still, huge citrus effervescence on the tongue.
@whisky_cellar chose @TheWhiskyWire to launch their 5th Batch with a @TweetTastings - those who were successful received a lovely package of samples through the post.

These are my tasting notes from the Blind Tasting Consortium's 23rd #BlindDrams evening.
Distell own three distilleries in Scotland and four in South Africa producing whisky and brandy.
A recent sample swap delivered four cask strength drams from three of these distilleries.
I've written about Bain's Single Grains before comparing the standard 5yo against it's 15yo old brother, now thanks to a whisky mule I'm able to try two of the 18yo!
Over the last few years it's been more and more difficult to get hold of single cask releases from @LochLomondMalts in the UK, but in the last month 2 have been released!
Swedish distillery @Mackmyra have released 36 exclusive small batch expressions featuring numbered bottles from unique casks. The latest, Virvelvind, is the last in the series.
