Just over 8 years old and releasing their first core bottling - Dingle Distillery in Ireland have come a long way in a short period of time.

BTC11 #BlindDrams Tasting Notes

These are my tasting notes from the Blind Tasting Consortium's 11th #BlindDrams evening.

Fisherman's Retreat Edition 6.1

I've written about @FishRetreat a number of times before, a restaurant in the Twine Valley at the edge of the Pennine hills around 15 miles north of Manchester. They are also an Independent Bottler maturing Bruichladdich and Arran whiskies in wine casks.

Their latest release has been double matured - let see what it's like!

@LochLomondMalts's Distillery site is a huge place, distilling around 3 million litres of whisky each year, they have in excess of  280,000 casks on site.

Somewhere along the line four got lost!

Hinch Craft & Casks @TweetTastings

There seems to be a lot or Irish @TweetTastings this year - I guess that's because there are a lot of new Irish distilleries and Independent Bottlers coming online.

Hinch is located just south of Belfast in Northern Ireland, they only started distilling in December 2020, to date they've filled over 300 casks., so while they wait for 3 years they're using sourced Irish whiskey, matured to their own specifications, to build their brand.

The only distillery on the Island of Mull, Tobermory, produces both unpeated and peated whisky. The peated now goes under the name Ledaig.

Sometimes knows as 'dirty whisky' - here I'll try five different bottlings.

Another Daftmill ballot another disappointment... if like me you've entered a ballot for a Daftmill release and been unsuccessful you'll know the only way to get try a dram is from a drample swap from a whisky mate.

This is exactly what happened here!
