#BlindTasting Series 4 - Part 1

Back after an extended Summer break the #BlindTasting gang are all ready to try 15 new drams, if you haven't followed us before you can catch up with the previous series here.

All the samples have arrived

As usual the five of us @jwbassman_, @SpiritAndWood, @GentlemanGrimm, @WhiskyWings and myself @MaltMusings have swapped 3 coded dram samples with each other and will now try to guess what they are but more importantly whether they are any good with #NoPreconceivedIdeas.

As usual we start with each of our flight photos!

We'd had a little discussion before hand and worked out that a couple of the drams 'may' be stronger than usual so it was agreed to reverse the tasting order E-A rather than A-E....

First up was Mike's E10

So E10 was a fantastic Cadenhead Old Pulteney

Read more of Grimm's thoughts here!

Next up was Grimm with D10.....

Although because of the change in order I got it wrong....

Some regional confusion!!!

And Grimm's dram was indeed Jura Origin!

Next up was Alistair with C10, more surprises?

Name a sherry bomb....

Alistair then impressed us with his new words....

Alistair revealed his Bottle Your Own from Glen Moray....

Fourth of the evening was John's B10:

After some strong drams, Grimm was struggling....

John's dram was a 10yo Craigellachie from WhiskyBroker

And the final dram of the evening was A10.....

John went for the obvious source of most of my drams!

A little clue!

A10 was a Longrow 'Living cask' I'd picked up on my recent trip to Campbeltown!

It had been a while but we'd finally got Series 4 underway and had a brilliant evening in the process!

Many thanks the guy's for one of our best evenings together!
